She is a cheerful and bubbly lady. She is a loyal friend, caring daughter and a loving sister.
She is dedicated to her work. She is kind to other cancer survivors. She is committed and supportive to the patient community.
She was diagnosed with Gastrointestinal Tumor (GIST) during 2013.
A brave and beautiful person she is, her name is Norlela Omar. Everyone calls her Kak Lela (Kak is Malaysian language means “sister”).
She started her voluntary work with Max on the same year she was diagnosed with GIST.
She volunteered during our workshops and events, even sponsors birthday cakes and stationaries during Maximo and The Big C storytelling sessions. Everyone including the children loved her carefree and positive sunny energy.
She passed away a month ago on mid-November this year, leaving behind 3 children.
Max Family Society Malaysia had a representative visited her family after her funeral.
Whereas, a Penang core group leader had also made a Photobook specially for her family – all the pictures of the beautiful moments she had while volunteering in Max activities and her sunshine smile.
