An art workshop was arranged at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore. The workshop was very indigenous, no formal arrangement were made to keep our patients comfortable.
The participants of the workshop were 30 patients and care givers, but practically on ten patients took active part. The workshop with its objective to create sense of ownership with treatment and to keep them active and full of optimism and enthusiasm started at two locations of the hospital. Few patients gathered in lobby and rest of patients in one room of the clinic. The patients were provided paper and color and other material.
Though it was new experience for patients to participate in such activity, they initially hesitated but later enjoyed in participation. The event provided a social forum where they shared their worries and problem and feel relief.
